Rooted in thousands of years of feminine history, this authentic ancient dance celebrates the curves, femininity, and sensuality of all women--all shapes, all sizes, all ages! And what bonuses! This natural dance form is an enjoyable and low impact form of exercise that is very graceful, supple, and fluid. Belly dance promotes flexibility, strength, and poise. It will firm and tone your body. When you belly dance, you are doing a whole series of sensuous stretching and undulating movements and electrifying hipwork that will dance you into shape. I cannot imagine any other dance form that comes close to belly dancing in the development of poise, beauty, balance, stamina, and physical strength. The hip-swaying, torso undulating authentic ancient belly dancing movements focus on isolation and muscle control. This folkloric dance also offers spiritual and healing energy, as well as a boost to self-esteem. From your fingertips to your toes, and from your head to your heart, this dance will draw you in.


You'll learn:

 

• Correct execution of the authentic dance movements • Entertaining & fun choreographed dance routines • Simple stretching warm-up exercises to limber your body in prep for the controlled dance movements • Classic style--I prefer it's grace, beauty, elegance, and glamour • As you develop speed and expression, you'll learn the more intricate belly dance movements. You'll learn how to work with a skirt and veil, shading, and coordinating expressions with the moods of the dances.
